On February 29th 2020, I had the pleasure of capturing the wedding of Laine and Martin – a beautiful celebration of love and commitment. As the last wedding couple I ever photographed before the pandemic hit, their special day holds a special place in my heart. Little did we know that just a few weeks later, our government in Malaysia would declare a lockdown on March 18th, putting a halt to all weddings and events. Today, January 24th 2021, we find ourselves in the midst of a second lockdown, and while it has been a challenging time for everyone, I remain optimistic about the future. As a photographer, I have been keeping busy and preparing for the day when weddings can once again take place safely. Looking back at Laine and Martin’s wedding photos brings me so much joy and reminds me of the beauty and love that can be found even in the darkest of times. Thank you for allowing me to capture your special day, and I can’t wait to create more beautiful photographs again soon.
